What days are you closed?
We are closed on Sundays, and have the following holiday closures:
New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday and
Monday), Fourth of July, Labor Day Weekend (Saturday and Monday),
Thanksgiving Day Weekend (Thurs-Sat), Christmas Eve and Christmas
Day.
Do I have to bring my dog in according to a
schedule?
Our hours for full day daycare are 6:00am until 7:00pm. You may drop
off/pick up your dog at any time between these hours. Half days:
Morning half days begin at 6:00am and dogs must be picked up by
12:30pm. Afternoon half days
begin at 12:30pm and dogs must be picked up by 7:00pm.
Do you accept all breeds?
Yes, all dogs are welcome. Owners need to make sure that their dog(s)
have not harmed or shown aggression toward any person or other pet.
If a pet shows aggression he/she may be rejected or expelled from Camp Canine.
Who watches my dog during their stay at
Camp Canine?
Staff-to-dog ratios are up to 1-to-16 for large dogs and up to
1-to-20 for little dogs. This is the ratio that
is considered ideal in the industry and is rarely bested by other
daycares of our size
How do I know my pet is being taken good
care of and having a good time?
We have webcams so you can tune in any time of the day from your
computer and watch your dog having a great time here at Camp Canine!
See our Camera page for more info..
I have a small dog, will he be safe?
Some small dogs enjoy running with the big dogs but just in case, we
have a special area for the little ones to romp with his/her smaller
friends. It is up to your dog if he/she wants to play with the big
or small dogs.
What will my dog do all day?
Run around! Play on the big toy! Splash in the wading pool on hot
days! Wrestle! Socialize with other campers and make lots of new
friends!
Where does my dog go potty?
Campers can go potty when and where they like. Staff is with the
dogs at all times to immediately clean up after them.
If my dog goes potty anywhere he likes at
daycare will he do this at home?
No! Dogs are very good at learning they can do one behavior in one
location and another behavior in a different location. The floor
surface at Camp Canine is rubber instead of
hardwood or
carpet, so they aren't learning to potty on surfaces found in homes. If your pet
is housetrained at home - he will remain housetrained at home. Your
home does not have 30 canine residents with all their attendant
odors. Your dog will definitely know the difference between home and
daycare.
It's my pets' first time at daycare, what
do I need to bring?
Please call for your evaluation appointment time and bring completed
application forms.
What happens at the evaluation?
We take time to go over your dog's registration forms and discuss
with you, any important information specific to your pet. Your dog
will be introduced to a couple of new playmates to see how he/she
will react to new friends.
Do you feed my pet during daycare?
If you would like your dog to eat while at daycare you will need to
supply his food or treats and his/her eating schedule. There is no
extra cost to feed your dog while at Camp Canine.
Do you
offer your services to older pets?
Yes! All ages are welcome. Older or handicapped pets will be placed
in appropriate playgroups or if they like to relax alone they will
be placed in the lounge where
they can rest and nap until they're ready to re-join the group.
What if my pet becomes ill during daycare?
We will try in all cases to use your veterinarian if your pet is
feeling under the weather. If your veterinarian is not close to Camp
Canine we will use our veterinarian (AllCare Pet Hospital next
door). You will receive a call in all instances of illness. |
